Terms & Conditions. Please read carefully.

1. About us

These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings made through (Van&Go Adventures) ("we","us", "our"). Our business is based in Newcastle Upon Tyne.

2. Booking & Payment

. A booking is only confirmed once we have received the required deposit and sent you a confirmation email.

. The remaining balance must be paid no later than 7 days before the hire start date.

. We reserve the right to cancel a booking if payment deadlines are not met.

3. Driver Requirements

To hire one our of campervans all drivers must:

. Be at least 23 Years old.

. Hold a full UK driving licence.

. Have held their licence for a minimum of 2 years.

. Declare any driving convictions, penalty points, or medical conditions.

We may refuse the hire if driver eligibility is not met. 

4. Insurance

. Insurance is not provided by us as part of the hire.

. All hirers are required to arrange their own fully comprehensive insurance for the duration of the booking.

. We will provide instructions on how to obtain insurance via the Cuvva app, where cover is available from £2.49 per day (prices may vary).

Valid proof of insurance must be provided at the time of vehicle collection.

We reserve the right to refuse handover of the campervan if appropriate insurance is not in place. 

5. Security Deposit

. A refundable security deposit of £300.00 is required before collection.

. The deposit may be used to cover:

- Damage to the vehicle

- Missing equipment

- Late returns

- Excessive cleaning

Any remaining balance will be refunded within 7 working days after the vehicle is returned.

6. Vehicle Use

You agree that:

. The campervan will be used only for private leisure travel.

. No smoking or vaping is allowed inside the vehicle.

. Pets are allowed by agreement only. 

. The vehicle will not be taken: 

 - Off-road

 - To festivals without prior approval

 - Outside the UK without written permission

Illegal, reckless, or inappropriate use will void insurance and may result in immediate termination of the hire.

7. Milage & Fuel

. The hire includes unlimited milage.

. The campervan must be returned with the same fuel level as at collection.

8. Breakdowns/Accidents, Delays & Early Termination

. In the event of a breakdown or accident you must notify us as soon as possible.

. You must not authorise repairs without consent (unless necessary for safety)

. Roadside assistance details will be provided at collection. 

. While we maintain our campervans to a high standard, we cannot guarantee that a vehicle will be free from a mechanical issue at all times.

. In the event of a breakdown, mechanical fault, accident, or any issue that results in the hire being cut short or interrupted, we shall not be liable for any loss, cost, or inconvenience, including (but not limied to):

 - Loss of holiday time

 - Accomodation or travel costs

 - Campsite fees

 - Alternative transport

. No refund or compensation will be provided for unused hire days unless required by law. 

9. Cancellation Policy 

. Cancellations made within 14 days of the hire start date are non-refundable.

. Cancellations within 5 days of the hire start date may be charged up to 100% of the hire cost.

. No refunds are given for early returns.

10. Late Returns

. Late returns may incur additional charges of £50 per day

. Late returns affecting subsequent bookings may result in further charges.

11. Cleaning & Condition 

, The campervan must be returned in a reasonably clean & tidy condition. 

Excessive cleaning (mud, stains, waste, strong odours) may result in a cleaning fee.

12. Charges, Fines & Penalties

. The hirer is responsible for all charges incurred during the hire period, including but not limited to:

  - Parking charges

  - Penalty charges notices (PCNs)

  - ULEZ, congestion charges, clean air zone charges

  - Tolls, ferries & road usage fees

  - Speeding, traffic and parking fines.

. Any charges or fines incurred during the hire period will be the sole responsibility of the hirer, even if they are issued after the vehicle has been returned.

. Where we receive notice of a charge or fine, we reserve the right to: 

  - Pass the hirers details to the relevant authority, and/or

  - Charge the cost of the fine to the hirer, along with an admin fee or £25.00.

13. Our Responsibility 

. We are not responsible for:

  - Loss or damage to personal belongings

  - Delays caused by weather, traffic of events beyond our control

  - Indirect or consequential losses

14. Governing Law

. These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
